The vampire Lisa (chapter two)
Chapter two
The next day I woke up to find my fathers doctor standing in my room and he told me that I must go to my fathers rooms I got up and ran all the way to my fathers rooms only wearing my night robes as I ran through the doors into the first chamber of my fathers rooms I found that all of the court were stood around and the priests and other people that I didn’t no. I Pushed my way through and in to the main bed chamber and there to my horror lay my father in his bed surrounded by more priests and doctors and I knew that this could only mean one thing that he was dying and that he was going to name me as the next ruler so when he did die I would become queen on the very spot where I happened to be standing at the time. I had seen all this done when my grandfather had died and my father made king. As I walked up to the bed I knew that he would not last much longer. I stood next to his bed and the tears were running down my face “do not worry I am not in pain and soon I will no longer be” “ don’t talk like that you will get better” “come child sit down. You know that it will not be long but before I do go on to the next world I must do this for you.” My father pulled himself up so that he could address all in the room and then it came “you all no that I had no son to take my place when I am gone but I do have a daughter and before you all now I name her to be my successor and to ruler over theses land she is to be as if she were a king this is my final last will and testament” as he said this he removed the royal seal from around his neck and placed it over my head my tears came forth again then the whole room went down on there knees and my father gave me a kiss on the cheek and lay back down then he said in a whisper “they are your people now address them” I got to my feet and in the bravest voice that I could told them all to stand. As I did this father closed his eyes and went to sleep. On that day I did not leave my fathers bedside or take food or sleep I just knelt there watching him sleep as the night came he got worse. People came and went all through the night until I said that “that I had had enough and that I wanted to be alone with him just for a while to talk to him wile he slept every one did as I said except for two men in a dark corner at once I knew who they where it was my uncle and Vincent they had come to see my father before he died but what they had planed I did not no and did not trust any of them slowly they walked towards us. I stood up and said that they had no place here and that they should leave “we have only come to see your father and pay our respects to you” “you don’t need to pay your respects to me until he is dead” “but he is dead” said my uncle “he has been dead for some twenty minutes” “so now you are a queen” Vincent said “ I guess I am” “and such a beautiful queen you are” as he said that my uncle turned to him and said “you must not even think about it she is to young” “to young for what? I demand that you tell me as I am queen” “ as you know Vincent is in love with you and he wants you to be with him always to be made into one of us but you are too young and have your kingdom to rule now” “yes my kingdom” “come Vincent we will leave now but we will come back tomorrow to see if you are ok” “yes you should leave there are things to be done. Until tomorrow then.” And with my uncle vanished only Vincent still remained and he came up to me and kissed me and said “until tomorrow then. Kissed me on the neck then on the lips and I felt a fluid in my mouth and then I woke up in my own bed. Over the five weeks that followed plans were under way for me to be crowned and for me to choose a king which I had intention of doing Because I was in love with Vincent. Then one night Vincent came to me alone which I wasn’t not expecting because he was not allowed to be alone with and I was in my bed robes which no one usually sees me “I can stand this no longer” “stand what no longer” I said “ not being able to touch you and kiss you when I want to always to have to stay away from you and I cant bare it any longer” he started to walk up to I stood up and said “ I think you should stop there don’t come any closer” “ok but let me tell you then that I want you I wanted you when I first saw you at the ball your father gave” “I know and I want you to but it cannot be” “but it can just for tonight” “ what do you mean just for tonight?” “Your uncle is taking me away from you we are leaving tomorrow night” “but he cant do that I love you” “but he has already planed it and I must go so this is our last chance I don’t know if I will ever see you again” I ran over to him and but my arms around him and started to kiss him and then he said “will you let me make love to you? But it must be now I don’t have much time before I must go” “ok come it must not be in this room” I took him up in to my mothers room and there we made love. When I woke up he was gone not that I had expected to find him there when I woke up but there was a letter.
“To my darling Lisa when you read this I will have gone and tonight I will be gone forever and I do not no when I will be back take care and remember that I will always love you and be with you”
Vincent
As I read the letter I couldn’t stop crying I knew that I had to find him before he went and so that night I got dressed and but on a cloak and went to find him I was not hard to find him and my uncle as I went up to them I saw Vincent smile at me and I smiled back my uncle gave a suspace glance towards Vincent and he went about butting his bags on the carriage “hello uncle so you are leaving then you not even going to stop to see me crowned” “no my child I fear that we must go for your safety” “but iam in no danger from you or Vincent” no but there will soon be a reason for your people to become suspicious of what we are no thanks to you and Vincent’s secret meeting last night” “ but how do you know that we met?” “I know a lot of things” “ like what give me an example” “ok you want an example. What will happen when that child is born and is stronger that normal children” “what child? I know of no children” “the one that is growing in you at this very minute” by this time Vincent spoke “but that cannot be I can not have children none of us immortals can have children” “but this can not be uncle” “yes we have all come to that conclusion but we still don’t know how so hears what you should do as soon as you have been crowned. You need to get married and soon before it’s too late and people know that you are with child about three weeks after you should announce that you are going to have a child. This can be the only way you and your baby will be safe.” By this time Vincent was in a rage not because of me being with child but that I was to marry and say that the child was my husband s. “no she can come with us or we will stop with her” “and what would you do marry her and never be seen when the sun was up and then appear only at night. No that can’t be done. We must go now but we will be back when its time for your baby to be born so until then we will say good bye” and with that I ran to Vincent and but my arms around him and said that it will
Always be his child and that he should not forget it and that he should come back as soon as he could. He kissed me then they got in the carriage and went. I started to walk back to the place and I was in tears all the way back I got back in to my rooms and was sick.
