Chapter five
Vincent took me to where I was to sleep during the day and we left my things and went to find my uncle and Luke. When we found my uncle he had Luke and I ran to get him. “So you are one of us now” “yes uncle I am one of you” “I am making enquiries to find us a house with a cellar so that we can stay there with Luke at all times. I have bought some slaves and a nurse” “so where’s this house then?” its in Spain” “but it so far away” “how will we get there?” “ By flying of course” “ we can fly?” “Well it’s more like floating but its not quite.” So how do you do it?” “You must imagine where you want to go then sort of will your self to be there. I wont except you to be able to do it takes practice.” So off we went to start our new life in Spain. We decided that flying would be a bad idea with Luke being so young so we hired a ship to take us.
As we set sail for Spain we all became closer and everyone aboard the ship was in love with us all and most of all Luke who they looked after during the day they never asked questions about where we disappeared to during the day but the crew where being paid a lot so they just cast it out of their minds. It took us two months to reach Spain we stopped off at many countries on the way and bought many things for our new house. When we arrived in Spain it was dark so we were all up and ready to go first thing we did was to go and see our new house when we got there most of the decorating had already been done except for our own rooms which we were going to do our selves all the rooms were furnished and fires made and the candles lit when we had made sure that every thing was ok Vincent sent for the rest of our things to be bought to the house and when every one had gone we set about to putting things away I went and put Luke in to his bed and made sure that he was sleeping and went to see my own room when I entered the room the first thing that I noticed was that the bed was my fathers bed “I thought that you would like to have it” it was Vincent “but how did it get here?” “I sent it a head of us so when we got hear it would be set up for you” “but I will not need a bed” “no but when Luke is older he can have it and you will be able to tell him stories of how it was his grandfather bed and that it comes from a far away place”. We all settled in to our new house and before it was morning we all went in to the cellar to sleep and I took Luke with me so that I knew he would be safe and if he woke I would be able to take care of him in my coffin I took some milk so I could feed him if he woke up.
The next fifteen years past in peace and we where the only immortals in Spain so we had no fear of having to fight them of our hunting land and why I’m on the subject of hunting I should just mention that immortals are very territorial over the land where we hunt and will not but up with any trespasser unless they are a friend and if there was another immortal who should not be on our land we would destroy them. Now as the years went on we all got more powerful and gained new ablates we didn’t all get the same things my uncle and Vincent had explained this to me that no one gets the same power and if you did there would be things that were different. Luke was now fifteen years old and was very intelligent and was a fast leaner and Luke had inherited some powers from his father Luke was very good at sports and he already knew and could speak French, Spanish, English and Italian and we decided that he no longer needed to be at school as the tutors could no longer teach him any thing more and we could teach him the rest. As I just said the years past were good to us and we were all happy until that fateful day that we could not have foreseen.
